I realize our country has been going through some difficult times and everyone is on edge. I love America just as much as anyone else. Look, anything that's flying, but not breathing, I'm watching. I'll take this even one step further. If re-incarnation is true, and I have reason to believe it is, I'm asking God to please send me back to America, no where else or I flat out ain't leaving. If I have peel 'Heaven's potatoes' for the rest of all eternity so be it. I'll peel them.
Like I mentioned on my Seventh & Final Secret to Life page, in these difficult times we all have to just keep on - keeping on. Back to Lord Tobin Bridge, a few months ago I'm on top of that bridge and who pulls up behind me, none other than wild-man Geno in his hvac contractors truck. Geno is an outside air-conditioning contractor and a real work of art, I call him Roman Candle.
Roman Candle and I spent most of that week working together fixing my company's cooling tower. I just wanted to tell him that he left his hacksaw, #24, in my company's building on top of our air-conditioning cooling tower. So I stopped my car, got out and walked back to his truck. Geno was laughing so hard, he couldn't stop. Finally he looks at me and says "Hey Joe, you're holding up traffic on the Tobin Bridge".
I looked back and sure as hell nothing is moving on the Tobin Bridge, Geno was right. This gets worse, everyone is now hollering and honking their horns at me. You'd think I was the devil re-incarnate. I simply wanted to take two measly seconds to tell Roman Candle about his hacksaw, old #24.
If your reading this and you were on the Tobin Bridge that morning, hollering and honking your horn at me, guess what? That guy that turned around and flipped you all the bird, that was me! The moral of the story is this, always check your hacksaw before driving up on the Tobin Bridge and pissing off a lot of folks that are trying to get to work.
I like to practice what I preach. The next day I took another good look at old hacksaw #24. I turned it over and, much to my surprise, I saw the word 'facilities' written on it. Funny thing is, facilities is my workshop, not Geno's. Old hacksaw #24 was MY hacksaw!
Sorry if I inconvenienced anyone that day.
Joe
