Brain afflictions may very well be the most difficult illness to treat, no two people are alike and no-one has all the answers. A quick word about brain disorders/mental afflictions, even the word illness itself. These words are very scary to people and no-one likes to use them or hear them. In my book, like on this page, I don't pull any punches when talking about stress, anxiety and depression or any other brain afflictions. Why? Because that's just what they are and, tragically, sometimes even fatal.
Here's the good news! They are just words and, like thoughts, only have power if you give them power. I had major depression, a serious brain disorder, I suffered mental affliction and serious illness, almost fatal. Today, I'm 100% well! So you see, they are just words, have no power, not scary and I'm the one using them!
1994 the original US patented Restores+ formula was being used in over 700 American hospitals
Restores+ at that time was not available to the general public. Quest for Health Products, |
Today, February 14, 2002, Formor International's product, Neuro 911, is the same formulation as Restores+ only more effective and improved upon. Neuro 911 is created by the same scientists and doctors as Quest for Health Products, Inc's older product Restores+
Why the two amino acids, DL Phenylalanine and L-Glutamine, especially the proper amounts, are so critical and important to mental health, is explained to some degree on my Restores+ testimonial. Example: clinical studies done on adults for the more serious depressions with DL Phenylalanine all state, the amount of DL Phenylalanine needed for recovery is 1200 - 1800 mgs per day period.
These studies, and I read them (in the library), were done using the Hamilton Scale I might add, the same one they use for testing medications. Quest for Health, Inc's Restores+ had 300 mgs of DL Phenylalanine per capsule. I took six Restores+ a day (two capsules three times a day) for a total of 1800 mgs of DL Phenylalanine per day. On week sixteen I was 100% well and medication free. There is of course more to the story and it's called The Secret Therapy.
As someone who has experienced, first hand, the devastating and crippling effects of clinical major depression, I can assure you no-one can recover from this illness without a power much greater than our own.
During my withdrawal from medications, at the time I was on the anti-depressant Paxil and the anti-anxiety medication Ativan. Anti-depressants are not physically addictive, they are however very psychologically addictive. On the other hand, anti-anxiety medications are very addictive and withdrawal can be dangerous - even fatal. Some people will go to hospitals and special clinics for a period of time to safely wean themselves off the anti-anxiety meds. Anti-depressants and anti-anxiety medications both alter your brain chemistry.
You should never attempt to wean yourself off these medications without the direct guidance and supervision of your personal physician. I did this on my own and I am very lucky to still be alive sharing this story with you. There will be more about this on my page I have titled The Indian Burial Grounds - for a very good reason.
